Affordable Fashion Knoxville Life

A Few of My Favorite Things

Fall is in the air! Fall has always been my favorite season – I love fall scented candles, being cosy in sweaters and boots, Hallmark Channel fall movies and pretending that the temperature drops below 80 degrees in Miami.

But now that I love in Knoxville, I truly get to experience fall and OMG its amazing. I love that its not a million degrees outside and that I can wear all my sweaters and scarves and cardigans. I love turning on my Leaves candle from Bath and Body Works when I get home.

Every fall I jump on all the sales and stock up on new clothes for the year and I went a little crazy this season at Forever 21 and at a few boutiques I love. As you all know Forever 21 is having crazy sales right now so take advantage while you can!

I can’t wait to share all of the cute outfits I’ll be putting together with all my new goodies, and to get into the fall makeup looks, some of my favorites! I’ve been binging YouTube videos for ideas because I always go for a bronze smokey eye and I wanna add some color into my life this year.

Fall to me means grabbing a warm cup of tea (chamomile, green tea or earl grey usually) with honey and a good book. And this fall my favorite author, Jillian Dodd is releasing the last 2 installments in her That Boy series. I have been reading her work since high school and there is not one series or story I don’t love, if you’re looking for a feel good story thats not the least bit boring check out this series or any of her others! My two favorites are The Keatyn Chronicles and the Spy Girl series!

I loved getting to explore Knoxville this week and had so much fun at Ijams Nature Center, where we shot this. It’s an urban wilderness and its gorgeous, if you’re ever in town, its a must see!

I also love watching all the sappy movies on Hallmark Channel, in fact I’m watching one right now as I type lol. There’s just something that gets me about meet-cutes and small towns, maybe it’s because I’m a city girl? Idk, but part of what attracted me to Knoxville was that its a city that has a small town feel.

Fall break is over today and it’s back to the law school grind tomorrow, and school is only gonna pick up from here but I’m looking forward to CHILLA our Halloween party on Friday and finishing the semester strong.

I can’t wait for Thanksgiving because not only is it my birthday and I get to go home, it means cream corn and pecan pie and hanging with my family and friends in the backyard until 3 am laughing and having a good time.

What are you most looking forward to this fall? Let me know down in the comments, thanks for reading!
