Skincare I’ve Tried While In Quarantine

With so much free time with nowhere to go I’ve been giving my skin a much needed break from makeup and lots of heavy products.

Even though I don’t really wear makeup every day to school, the days I did wear makeup I’d wear it for hours and I’m not the type to do light makeup or no makeup days, I usually always wear foundation. I have to really be in a rush but need to look put together to only wear concealer. If I have the time, I go for a full face.

So taking the time to try out new skincare goodies, tools, techniques and tricks has been fun and a way to pass the time and I have found some new go-tos that I hope to continue to use when we’re back in the real world, even if its not as frequently as I am doing them now.

One of my favorite finds has been Patchology‘s sheet masks! Super easy, quick and they really work!

I got a few of their FlashMasque’s to try from Milk and Honey, the Hydrate, Soothe, Illuminate and Milk Peel.

I have yet to try the Soothe and Illuminate since I haven’t NEEDED to, but I LOVE the Illuminate and Hydrate ones.

Even with all the time we have on hand I am sticking to things I need or would benefit from not just doing them because I have the time, so I have yet to try the Milk Peel and Soothe masks since my skin has been doing really well. If I need the extra help I’ll try them and will let you all now the results.

The Hydrate mask was a much needed boost to my skin on a day I needed extra hydration to my skin, I ran out of my moisturizer and in between restocks my skin was lacking a healthy glow and this one really helped!

My absolute favorite was the Illuminate mask. The radiance my skin got before I did my makeup for an at home photo shoot was INSANE. I looked glowy and refreshed and so healthy it was amazing.

These masks are $8 for a single and $30 for a 4 pack. I got mine on Milk and Honey where they offer the singles, but I may have to stock up on some of the Illuminate masks so I might get a 4 pack next time I buy!

I really wanna try their different FlashPatch eye gels and the FlashMasque Detox sheet mask too.

Another thing I’ve been doing since before quarantine that I’ve kept up with at home is derma planning. I got a set of little razors on Amazon and shaving the peach fuzz and dead skin cells off my face has been amazing for my skin. And it makes my skin look really clear and makeup and skincare go on smoother. Here are the razors I get, I reuse them a few times each and use it after applying an oil or serum to ensure the razor glides smoothly.

I also have been using a jade roller and gua sha I got on Amazon, again with an oil or serum on my skin. Lemme tell you, they work so well! I get really puffy eyes when I don’t sleep well, which has been happening a lot lately and the eye roller has helped me depuff and look a little more awake on days I need the help and the gua sha helps my whole face look thinner and healthier by draining the extra water that makes me puffy in the mornings. Highly recommend looking into this, its all the rage and all the models and celebs do it too!

I purchased a facial steamer on Amazon and I’m waiting to get it in the mail so stay tuned for that but I can’t wait to try it! I’ve heard really good things about them and I know they work since my esthetician uses one every time I get a facial. Here‘s the one I got, it came highly recommended from a high school friend and fellow blogger, here’s her blog!

Anything you’ve tried that you think I should? Let me know in the comments!

I can’t wait to come out of this with healthy, glowing skin and a new zest for life, but for now it’s back to hitting the books for finals, thanks for reading!
