Has anyone else been told that the best way ton boost your mood when you’re not feeling your best is getting made up and putting on a cute outfit? Just me? My mom told me this a million times and its so true! So here’s my current beauty routine to give you ideas for how to do your makeup this summer!
Miami summers are SO humid so I have given up foundation unless its an event, dinner or photoshoot day. Instead I’m using either a complexion stick or a tinted moisturizer and these two are my faves: Merit Beauty The Minimalist Complexion Stick in the shade Camel and Charlotte Tilbury Unisex Healthy Glow. For everyday at work I just use concealer but if I want more coverage I use one of these! When I do want foundation my go to is the Dior Forever Skin Glow in 3WO!
The concealers I’m loving right now are the Cover FX Power Play I like Medium 2 and 3, Tarte Shape Tape and Sephora Collection Bright Future Gel Serum Concealer in Blondie. I use one of these depending on what coverage I want and how much makeup I’m wearing. Cover FX is the thickest and SC is the most natural but still gives amazing coverage and its my daily makeup concealer!
I’ve been really into cream blush, bronzer and highlight so my faves are Merit Beauty Flush Balm in Beverly Hills, Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Blush in Love for blush, the Milk Makeup Bronzer Stick in Baked and the Merit Beauty Day Glow Highlighting Balm in Cava for highlighter
I like to set my under eyes and face after creams and then use my powders. For setting powders I have three options but my two faves ATM are the Ilia Soft Focus Powder and Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Powder in Medium. I also love the Laura Mercier Translucent Powder I’m just trying Ilia out. For powder blush I love Dior Rouge and powder bronzer I love Hoola Caramel and the Becca Cosmetics Sunlit Bronzer in Bronzed Bondi. For highlight I love Maybelline Molten Gold
Lately for eyes I just throw a little bronzer all over the lid and highlight in the inner corner, quick, easy, effortless and looks good at all times! Occasionally I’ll add a brown eye shadow liner wing for drama and to elongate my eyes. When I want a more smokey look, my go to eye shadow, I use the Kylie Cosmetics Bronze palette! For mascara I am LOVING the RMS Beauty Straight Up Volumizing Mascara I use a few coats after curling my lashes. For brows I use the holy grail ABH Brow Wiz in Taupe and when I want to go all out the Patrick Ta Brow Wax
To finish the look I like a little nude lip liner all over the lips, I love Nyx with a slight overline with a little Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm for gloss and moisture. For extra color I use Colourpop’s Lippie Stix in Cookie. I set my face with a little rose water mist and TA DA, all done!
