Life Update: I’m Moving

The last few months have been long, stressful, exhausting and more as I embarked on a journey to attend law school and today it all comes down to one thing: I’m going to law school!

My Alma Mater, the University of Central Florida

In 4 short months I will be moving to attend the University of Tennessee College of Law in Knoxville, Tennessee and I couldn’t be more excited.

I haven’t shared this on a blog post yet but over the last 4 months I applied to over 18 law schools across the country and was accepted to 3 and waitlisted from 3. I am still pending two decisions but after visiting the city of Knoxville this past weekend, I knew I was going to call it home.

I visited UT and Knoxville for Admitted Students Day and I fell in love with the school, campus, and faculty. I also met current students as well as a few girls that will be incoming 1Ls with me and we hit it off so well that it made me so excited to officially accept UT.

We toured the school and city checking out popular spots across town and I toured a few apartments I was interested in. I ultimately found my future apartment and got a great deal on rent and parking, this is a major plus for an incoming grad student because the dreaded student loans will be paying for this. That’s the one thing I’m not excited about, lol, but UT is such a good financial investment and with the amazing scholarships I was awarded I know my education will be top notch, allowing me to come out of school with an amazing career and salary to help me pay them off quick.

So as I was reviewing my decisions and financials, I ultimately came to the conclusion that Knoxville and UT were meant to be my future home and with that I promptly emailed my decision to the other programs.

I am so excited to begin this new journey and move to Knoxville in August! Can’t wait to see where the next few months takes me!
